So I got my hair digi-permed at Azta Urban Salon again. I timed it just right so that I have pretty new curls by the time school starts (and it starts today!)
You know the drill by now, lots of GPOYs after the cut!
To remind everyone what my hair looked liked pre-perm
As you can see, the curls were way past my shoulder already so I was definitely due for another perm. This time, I tried Azta Urban Salon’s Eastwood branch and I had the stylist start my curls above my ear so that they last longer as it grows out.
This is what my hair looked like post-perm, without any product or styling.
This is what my hair looks like all styled for my first day of school!
I love the versatility of curly hair. I can easily change the way the curls look depending on how I let it air dry that day. For the picture above, I separated my hair into four sections and twisted and scrunched them outward so it opens up my face. I can go beachy-boho to sweet and innocent to glam without the use of much products and without heat!
The only downside to my curly hair is that I may have forgotten what it feels like to brush my hair! I have not brushed it for a year and a half now!
Oh, and school starts todayyy!!!

I got my hair permed a few months ago at Tony and Jackey too (refer to this entry http://dcintheskywithdiamonds.wordpress.com/2011/10/01/this-is-where-i-warn-you-about-my-girly-vanities-part-2/ )! It was okay but I thought the perm I got at Azta suited me better:p For some reason, I just can’t take care of long straight hair like you have! I end up getting frustrated that I always cut them really short!

I find that straight hair is actually harder to maintain! But then again, I don’t have naturally straight hair like you have!:)
